Warranty Information – Please read and keep carefully  - 06/09/16

*All Grade Grade B and Grade C devices come with a 6 months warranty. All Grade A and A+ and new devices come with a 12 months warranty. Some end of line or stock clearance items have a 3 months warranty and will be detailed in the phones listing. Warranty is applied from the date of purchase. 

*The warranty is extended to the device only and not to any accessories that came with it (chargers, USB cables or headphones). All chargers and usb devices are fully tested prior to dispatch.
*Please note the IMEI number on your phone or device. The warranty extends to this unique identification number only and is non transferable. Your purchase invoice will have this number displayed on it and this number must correspond with our system details for any warranty repairs to take place. 

*The warranty covers any defects or faults with the device that may have arisen during this 6 months – faulty switches, batteries, buttons etc.

•Your warranty is VOID if you have attempted to jailbreak or in any other way alter the stock Rom/firmware of your device. This  goes for all IOS and Android devices, NO EXCEPTIONS.

*The warranty is not an insurance policy and does not cover accidental or physical damage – cracks, scratches, dents etc. Any water damage present on the device is not covered and voids the warranty in full. 

*All devices sold by come with a tamper proof seal on the internal components. Any handsets returned to us for warranty repair work that have a damaged warranty seal will have their warranty voided. As all these devices have some very sensitive internal components, we can not be responsible for someone else's attempt at repairs.
*Each device is fitted with internal water indicators. If a handset has come into contact with water or moisture, we will see this when the device is opened. And yes, steam from the shower can trip these! In this case, the warranty will be voided and the customer notified.

 *If an item is sent back to us for repair or replacement, the warranty remains in place from the original sale date , ie - If you sent a device back for repair when you had 1 month warranty remaining, the device you receive back will still have 1 month warranty.

•Issues with ios or android software (faulty apps, bugs in updates) are  not the responsibility of Smashteckphones. Ie. These type of issue are commonly resolved by uninstalling/re-installing the app or waiting for the phone manufacture to release a software patch. However, do please call us and we’ll advise you on how best to get over the issue.

*The warranty covers all outward postage costs. reserves the right to refund inward costs of postage.

* The buyer is responsible for their device until it has arrived back to us AND been signed for. can not be held responsible for items that have been lost or damaged while in transit to our repair shop.
